I just came back from my exciting-oh-so fun-and-so-best-makan-amat- sedap!! (bapak serius pow wow best punya makan!!!) visit to Muar. I was a bit tired and I was watching HanaKimi when my 10 year old grand niece came to bug me with her homework (I still don't understand why oh why she always buat kerja rumah so lewat?!!). It's Maths = double hate.
As both of us finished discussing and kamehameha-ing with each other, mission accomplished. She asked me, "Liza, why aren't you an engineer like Mimi?". Dang....
First, I don't like it when kids ask me questions that gets on my nerves.
Second, I don't like anyone ask me question on me not being in science stream.
Third, I don't like it when there's Mimi in the question, nuff said! (ngeh ngeh ngeh)
So, as I was racking and hula hooping my brain for a very good-full-of-confident-and-oh-so-wow!-i-wanna-be-just-like-liza kind of answer I remembered something. My boss's son once showed me a funny clip of fellows + maths. So I switched on the computer and YouTube-ing for the clip and I've found it! Then..
"Shahirah, each and everyone of us is unique. And we as an individual usually have our own field that we masters at. It doesn't mean that if I'm not in engineering field I am not good (I was thinking of explaning to her about multiple intellingences but I know there will be more questions after that)".
"Then, why do you hate Maths Liza? You always asks me to read English books and newspaper but you hardly tell me to do anything with Mathematics".
Gah!!!! Perlukah semua ni ??
At this point I've decided to show her this magical clip. So she would understand my view on Mathematics and yes, I wanted to ruin her mind by this!!! *evil laugh*
I find this clip to be HILLARIOUS! and Shahirah was like.."ooooo...I don't really understand this but I will do my Maths from now on because I don't want to end up like them!" Hmm...I did not managed to ruined her mind like what my intention wanted but hey, it somehow had influenced her to do her homework didn't it? Kudos to me! :D and thank you to my boss's son for showing me this clip! :)
