I am so tired. I started two new hobbies. The first one is power walking at The Botanical Garden and the second one is cooking. Yes, cooking. A nightmare indeed!
It has been 4 days since I start to power walk and I really enjoy it especially I have my mom as my crime partner. We start off as early as 6.30 am and the air at that time is so refreshing and cool just like one Salem advertisement 10 years ago. The first day of course was a suicidal power walk. I can barely walk after that and crawling seemed to be the most delicious act to do for the whole day. But after the second day it's getting better.
Then, there goes my second hobby that is cooking. Well, I wouldn't really call it a hobby because it is part of this year resolutions so . . . ya. . .mmm. . . .I stumbled into this one really cool blog about cooking and creating food from whatever things that you happened to have in your kitchen and I must say it's really FUN!
So, I decided to make chicken kebab instead. First, it's doable. Second, the colour is nice. So I went to Cold Storage to get the ingredients. Being a super super dumb beginner, I was having a nightmare looking for the ingredients! And...to make it worse, I don't even know what cumin ground is!!!!! I thought it is some kind of French herb whatnot and I bought the one in you know those kecik-kecik very sophisticated looking bottles of herb for RM 8.99. When I got back home, mom saw it and of course like any Malaysian mom she went berserk! And then only did I know Cumin = Jintan!!!!!!! I can get secekak penumbuk of the so called cumin for only 50 cent at kedai rempah mamak and yet I spent RM 8.99!!! Lesson learned. The first try was ok, kurang garam. And the second try is much better :)
So here are some pics of the so called chicken kebab :) Next recipe on the go, Banana Chocolate Muffin!
