me vs vegetables

I'm not a big fan of vegetables. Simply because I don't like the 'tasteless' of it. That's pretty much sum up why I ended up with kertas pasir-ish complexion. I had few attempts to force myself swallow vegetables but I just don't have the high discipline for it. But I'm having a big event coming in less than 9 months and I need to start taking care, polish up my complexion or what not starting now. Therefore I constantly nourished myself with the so-called-motivation story like this one.

When I was in college, I had a friend who had a serious disaster of skin complexion. When I first knew her, she had the marvelous skin ever then hormone or diet change here and there and her skin changed completely! It was an awful semester for her and she would constantly hide her face with her long hair as she was ashamed of her skin. I remember to went through articles and methods of getting good complexion with her until she found the solution to 'eat vegetables, boycott oily food and say no to seafood except for fish".

So she was really determined to try out her new diet for a month where she would eat a LOT of vegetables. Then her complexion gradually improved! It really works. By the time she came back from the semester her skin was sangat WOW! I really admire her for that. I admire her determination and self discipline.

Then today, I read in the news that even Tesco now came out with a fun way of encouraging kids to eat vegetable by selling colourful cauliflowers. The cauliflowers looks faboosh and I admit, if I see it myself I would try it out!

So, now I have myself an inspiration story of my friend's vege diet and bucketloads of the goodness of vegetables articles. All I need now is determination and self discipline which I'm afraid is somewhere hanging on the clouds. Eeep!
