Benda Ciput Yang Tak Pernah Terpikiaq

A few days ago I met up with my friends who just came back from a week holiday in Bali. They told me about their experience there and I can't help but envy them a little bit. Hehe..

Then, my friend the isteri said something that I least expected to hear from anybody EVER! Ok, nothing serious pun. Dia cakap one thing she didn't fancy about the vacation spot is their money. And I went like "Huh??! Come again?" Dia cakap their money kotor, crumpled and she felt yucky everytime she touched it. I was really terkejut sebab never in my life have I thought about any duit punya condition (yang aku akan pikiaq is the value and how to spend them!). And never in my life have I heard anybody talk about money's condition. And not once have I heard Mr.Batcha who is a money changer talk about money's condition!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!! I find it really funny, totally different and yes it is a new experience of something. Like, macam mana lah kawan ni boleh terpikiaq pasai keadaan duit??! Hahahahahahha!

Ok, yes I'm a bit crazy. Back to the story, I pun cakap lah " Duit Malaysia pun sama ja lah..". Teringat kalau time pi market, sah duit kat market yang kita pegang tu pun sama status kegelian dia kan? Tambah lagi kalau mai dari pakcik juai ayam or maknya ikan lagi basah-basah lekat darah ayam or sisik ikan kan? Then my friend ni cakap, tak. Ni serious lagi geli dari duit kat market!!!! Dia kata orang kat sana siap keremuk-keremuk duit tu lagi. Ok, I can't and don't want to imagine that. Hehehe

Then selepas sesi pertemuan tu while driving back home I was thinking lah hmmm memang betoilah duit kita kebanyakkannya taklah berlunyai and lebih kurang bersih. Jarang-jarang nak jumpa duit yang betoi-betoi lunyai. Habih terer, duit orang tulis apa-apa kat situ or duit koyak kena lekat.

I told Mr.Batcha about the interesting conversation I had earlier. And my bestie, Murni kerja kat bank, so I told her jugak. Since both kerja dengan duit setiap hari and they cakap yes, Malaysian money memang ok kalau nak dibandingkan negara lain ada lagi yang lebih berdanak. Not the best quality tapi not the worst either.

So by the end of the day, aku rasa bangga jadi rakyat Malaysia (like ntah ka apa-apa kan? :p) I hope tourists yang visit Malaysia takkan ada komen aneh dan totally unexpected macam kawan aku cakap tu lah. Sebab bagi aku, sekecik benda macam mana pun it reflects on something. Highlight of the story is, aku salute gila hormat tujuh gunung kat kawan aku tu sebab boleh terpikiaq and komen on such tiny ciput thing yang serious aku tak menyangka akan ada orang boleh terpikiaq bila pi mana-mana especially pi on vacation dengan hati yang riang ria :)

tesco trip

In order to shake off the boredom, Mak and I went to Tesco today. See, this is a bit rocket science because Mak need to use the wheelchair and I have to push the trolley. The only way I can think of making it work is I tolak Mak's wheelchair, and Mak push the trolley. But that would be a rather freak show to be watched in Tesco isn't it? Mak being a super shy lady mestilah tak tahan with people staring at her nanti pulak kan?

So I called one of my sis and she said "no problem, pronto! pronto! to the rescue now!". So we went there 3 of us and did a tiny groceries mandatory shopping. Then my so ever cheerful tummy was making quite a sound. Time to eat now. We decided to have our dinner at the Food Court.

Now, here's the highlight of the story. The so-called highlight lah.. while we were eating, my sister noticed a man (normal looking with exercise attire) walking around the Food Court. Next to our table, there were few leftover plates and drink cups. Then the man went to the table and start collecting the food and drinks! At first I told my sister that most probably the man were collecting the food for his pet. But drinks too?! Then he moved to the other table and did the same thing. To much dismay, there is no explanation for this. Seriously he doesn't look any crazy. He was well dressed. Hmmm..I wonder why he did that. Maybe dia ada some cool bio project or something? Would be interesting to know :)

Anyhoo, I realized that we were not the only people who can't stop staring at him. And that man was looking down on his busy fingers most of the time trying to get his job done quickly much to his embarrassment. He did nothing wrong actually. He was just taking leftover food. That's all.

Not only until I got back home then I realized yang hey! I was staring at him too at that time! And it was rude! Damn rude! And unfair! And busybody! And bad! BAD! BAD! BAD! Oh my...I really feel guilty now. Somehow I can understand the man's feeling. "I didn't do anything bad or illegal. It's just that it is something that is not ordinary" And it somehow reminds me of Mak's feeling the first time she went to Tesco in wheelchair. She refused to go at first, said that she hate the stares. And really, even until today there were some people who would look or stare at us. And well, an old woman on a wheelchair is a rather ordinary experience you see most day don't you? Well, I'm glad Mak had passed the I'm-embarrassed-to-be seen-on-this-yall! We do still get the stares sometimes, but mostly we get friendly smile or greetings as well :)

So, I hope that the mysterious man will receive some friendly gestures too :)

There are times in your life when you have to make a decision. A decision that you don't like. A decision that you really wish you don't have to make. You consider of the pros and cons and still, you stuck. So who do you turn to now?

You turn to Allah :)

the last week of june, the first week of july

Learning a foreign language is not that easy. Now i know lah. . . i've been taking a Korean language class and boy!! I think I'm suffering from Hangeoul Dyslexia. I keep mixing up the alphabets!!!

Anyhoo, I'm in the mood of cooking these few days. Made my first croquette few days ago. Hmm..it was okay. Not good, not bad. Really really ok. Tomorrow I'm going to make Hottok. Some sort of Korean pancake (I believe if you want to learn a language, you might as well adopt the culture especially the food!). Let's see if it's eatable or not ;) And oh, did I mentioned before that I have a Korean friend whose cooking skill is AMAZING?!!! I love eating Korean food because of her. Whatever she cooks, it'll taste like heaven. Seriously.

I reckon that I shall do this (below) on Thursday during my language class :p

Oh! I watched my very first football match today. Pretty cool I shall say. But I don't really understand the concept of the game. Good game though. Will try to watch more games after this (see..this is to impress Mr. Batcha that I do know about sports... a bit)

Mr. Batcha is away to Langkawi for a week so I'll be crime-partner-less this week. Hmmm. . .and I still haven't watch Toy Story 3!

Ok, I am such a rambler.

Have a nice day to anyone who reading this because I know I'll have a good day today because I cuti!!! :) :) :) no kerja lah today :) ngeeee~~~~~

Seriously, like really seriously, the guitar solo at the end of the song is breathtaking! More soothing than the whale song..

me living the d'uh life

I really amazed with those who update their blogs so often. Daily. Or even weekly. Because I can't do it. Not that I'm busy juggling the Earth from falling down or anything...it's just I don't have the 'kick' to do it. But I guess right now I have the 'kick' eh? Hehe..

I just got back from Kuala Lumpur yesterday and boy! I never feel so tired till I can't sleep even though I tried hard to!!! I drove from Seri Kembangan all the way to Tanjung Tokong. I am proud of myself for being young and capable to drive. Ok, not relevant.

Well, the reason me, mak and Kak Ros went to KL was to see the new family member in the family. My sister Amy gave birth to a handsome baby boy last week. He is so cute and fresh! Ok, fresh??

I never really see a new born baby before what more carrying them so I had my first maternal moment there. The feeling and experience is just overwhelming I tell ya! I love! love! love! babies now!! I think babies are the luckiest group of human being on planet. Whatever they do seems cute. They poo, wee and it still cute. They drink and cry, super cute! And the wardrobe...ADORABLE!!! Aah..the blissful life of being of baby. Too bad we can't remember the whole thing when we were babies.

Anyway, I'm starting my work back next week. FULLY STARTING. So I'm expecting some tiredness coming.

Oh, and my sister had been making and sewing handbag items lately and to be honest, they are gorgeous!!!! I envy her for having the skill and talent and creativity to do so :P

Ok, let's see if I can write more shall we? After all, I'm reorganizing my life and my daily schedule.. *hoping to be 'kick' everyday!*

Have a nice day!

p/s: it feels like Sunday today....hmmmmmmmm

5 perkara

Whenever I had my hiatus in writing I then shall begin the entry with the same opening line “well it has been quite some time since I last wrote here…”. I starting to sound like Yoda.

Truth to be told I am not that busy but I am lazy. Hey! It rhymes! There were so many things, climax, anti climax you name it that had happened lately. So, here’s the compilation of five things that I really want to write in my shabby blog.

  1. I had analyphytic shock last month and was hospitalized. It was a rather bad thing because it had shocked the hell outa my families and friends. I was scared when I woke up and realized that I was in the hospital opposite a rather old patient. Very old. I thought I had died and I’m meeting with my grandma. Then the rather old patient was talking to her Indonesian maid then I knew that I was just freaking out. When I got out from the hospital, the next few days were like listening to a recording tape. The story of me being crazy and delirious was being repeated over and over again. After three days, I was embarrassed. After a week I went to the market with my mom and I had another shock when she told one of her friends about my allergy reactions. Never had I wish the earth to open up and swallow me but that day. After two weeks, I find it rather a funny thing to have such a serious allergy. Why? Because I usually hate those people who “I can’t eat this I’ll get rashes”, “I can’t eat that or I shall fart non stop” blah blah blah and now I am one of those people. Joy.

  1. I can’t watch Dinner: Impossible. As much as the show is rather interesting with how you would be wondering whether the chef would be able to pull off the hat at the end of the day, I always and always feel so stress up watching the show. It is silly. No matter what you know at the end of the show the chef will manage to cook deliciously and satisfy everyone’s tummy but watching and waiting the whole cooking process with the chef’s constant “we don’t have enough cheese!” or “ the oven is not working!” makes me bite my fingernails and I would be fidgeting, moving from one seat to the other and my heart will thumping rapidly. I realized that at the end of the show I would have this feeling like I just completed a whole marathon or something.

  1. Reading a book before you sleep makes you dream of weird thing. Ok, I know this is crazy but really it happened to me. Not once but many times. I love reading books but I hardly read it before I go to bed. Lately since I’ve been busy with work the only ample time for me to hit my reading target would be before I zone out. Interesting much, I realized that I would dream of crazy dream. After few days of crazy dreams and blaming on the allergy, I tried not to read before sleep. And tada! I dream of nothing. But then again when I read, then I would have crazy antics of dreams. Last night, I read Pride and Prejudice before bed and I dreamed that I was a school bus driver and Tony Stark in Iron Man suit (without the headgear) jumped right in front of my bus and I hit the brake abruptly, shaking and fear of what trouble is heading towards us. Then he, the Iron Man asked me to open up the door. I was trembling and when the door was opened he got in and headed to the last row of seats. He squatted down looking for something. I was really scared thinking that there is a bomb or anthrax filled box or something and start to vision myself with blood streaming my nose due to anthrax or having a limp hand and ear due to the bomb explosion. I was looking at the rear view mirror and saw him stood up, clutching on something. It is rather small. He walked slowly heading to the door and said “Thank you for stopping. I forgot my lunch box”. I woke up right away and needed to go to the loo. I hate my dream. I’ve been fooled by my own dream!

  1. I was infected with swine flu. Really. How tragic and embarrassing is that? Last two weeks I had a cold. I popped a Clarinase. Then Panadol. At 4 am I started to go crazy and had a really high fever. By 8 am I was in the hospital and the rest are history. I can’t really remember a thing. Friends and family said I was exorcised. I believe them and seriously, I still freak out till today. But I can remember the hell that I went through. Vomiting non stop. And not being able to eat. Darn you swine flu! Really, I was nearly die. As much as I am freaking out and trying to recover I strongly believe that this is blessing in disguise. I am a firm believer that things happened for a reason. Yes, it was a hell experience but I’m pretty sure there’s a silver lining awaiting behind the sugar cloud somewhere. I am so thankful that I’m still alive and I appreciate every living second more than I used to. The experience thought me everything about life, faith, love, suffering and pain. Now I truly love and appreciate the fact I have such a lovely family especially mama who went through thick and thin babysat me and my dear friends who never stop to pray and support me to hold on and fight to live. Really, when you are half dead and the only thing in your mind is “am I going to die now?” then you see your family and friends faces who visited you, it bring a whole different energy and motivation for you to go on. So yeah, visit people who are not well because it really means a lot to them. Your smile means a million soldiers of encouragement.

  1. My road tax is due on Wednesday. I’ve got less than a week to renew it but I haven’t done anything. I need to look for the documents etc. Really, whose idea was it to invent road tax?? And that much??! Oh, I have two tickets to clear. And yes, there are police tickets.

I must do this and that and yes those too

I..

I have so many things to do by the end of this month and that's next week.

So far, only quarter of the to do list are settled.

I have history class on Wednesday and I haven't read anything yet. I MUST munch 4 chapters!! Yikes!

Baking. Yes, I need to bake some cookies. Cinnamon cookies. Yummy but the baking shop was closed by the time I went there this evening. Note: tomorrow go and get the ingredients!!

Envelope and card. Oh that one too. Yes. I need to figure out how to make a handmade envelope.

Car wash. Blimey! I hate to wash my car because right after 17 hours, 54 minutes and 28 seconds after that it will be filthily dirty.

Scrapbook for BFF. Note: Buy more papers!!!! Seriously when I will be able to do this?

Things to buy: tissue, knife sharpener and ribbons.

Ooh lala!! So crazeeeeeeeeeeeeee.................!!!

Ok, no more. Don't think anymore tonight. Nuff'.

Confessions

Hi,

I have two confessions.

1. I love teaching. If you ask me whether I love being a teacher last year, I would have say "No way Jose!!". But miracle happens and I love teaching more than any mushrooms I have eaten throughout my life. In fact, I even considering teaching as my next career move. How about that?

2. I love Justin Bieber.

Yes, I'm having Bieber fever.

Oink! Oink!

Great Facts on Pork

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah. Following text give you reasons why Allah (SWT) has forbidden eating pork. There are many other reasons which we do not know of but ALLAH (SWT) knows.

"You are what you eat" - Native American proverb

In folklore terms, eating the meat of the pig is said to contribute to lack of morality and shame, plus greed for wealth, laziness, indulgence, dirtiness and gluttony. We insult a person by calling him or her a "Pig" when they demonstrate these characteristics. Muslims are forbidden by God to eat the meat of the pig (pork).

This is detailed in verses 2:173, 5:3, 6:145, and 16:115 of the Qur'an. An exemplary verse is quoted here: "He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits, then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Is Pork Forbidden to Muslims Only?

The Jews and Christians are also forbidden from eating pork. Here is a quote from the Old Testament to that effect: "And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase." Deuteronomy 14:8

Many Christians believe that this verse was directed only at the Jews. But Jesus himself says during the Sermon on the Mount; "Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." Some Christians say that, after a vision by St. Peter, God cleansed all animals and made them fit and lawful for human consumption. If ALL animals are cleansed by Peter's vision, this includes dogs, cats, vultures, and rats: but you just don't see people getting excited about a cat-meat sandwich like they do over barbecued pork or bacon. Others say that it was Paul who rescinded the law forbidding pork to humans, in order to appease the Romans, who enjoyed the taste of pig-meat. Many excuses have been given, but none are very sound.

Many Far Eastern traditions also discourage the eating of pork. The 3,000 year old Confucian Book of Rites says, "Agentleman does not eat the flesh of pigs and dogs." Although many Chinese are avid eaters of pork today, physicians of ancient China recognized pork-eating as the root of many human ailments. Buddhists, Jains and Hindus usually avoid eating any kind of meat.

Bad effects of pork consumption

Pig's bodies contain many toxins, worms and latent diseases. Although some of these infestations are harbored in other animals, modern veterinarians say that pigs are far more predisposed to these illnesses than other animals. This could be because pigs like to scavenge and will eat any kind of food, including dead insects, worms, rotting carcasses, excreta (including their own), garbage, and other pigs.

Influenza (flu) is one of the most famous illnesses which pigs share with humans. This illness is harbored in the lungs of pigs during the summer months and tends to affect pigs and humans in the cooler months. Sausage contains bits of pigs' lungs, so those who eat pork sausage tend to suffer more during epidemics of influenza. Pig meat contains excessive quantities of histamine and imidazole compounds, which can lead to itching and inflammation; growth hormone, which promotes inflammation and growth; sulphur-containing mesenchymal mucus, which leads to swelling and deposits of mucus in tendons and cartilage, resulting in arthritis, rheumatism, etc.

Sulfur helps cause firm human tendons and ligaments to be replaced by the pig's soft mesenchymal tissues, and degeneration of human cartilage. Eating pork can also lead to gallstones and obesity, probably due to its high cholesterol and saturated fat content. The pig is the main carrier of the taenia solium worm, which is found it its flesh. These tapeworms are found in human intestines with greater frequency in nations where pigs are eaten. This type of tapeworm can pass through the intestines and affect many other organs, and is incurable once it reaches beyond a certain stage. One in six people in the US and Canada has trichinosis from eating trichina worms which are found in pork. Many people have no symptoms to warn them of this, and when they do, they resemble symptoms of many other illnesses. These worms are not noticed during meat inspections, nor are they killed by salting or smoking. Few people cook the meat long enough to kill the trichinae. The rat (another scavenger) also harbors this disease. There are dozens of other worms, germs, diseases and bacteria which are commonly found in pigs, many of which are specific to the pig, or found in greater frequency in pigs.

Pigs are biologically similar to humans, and their meat is said to taste similar to human flesh. Pigs have been used for dissection in biology labs due to the similarity between their organs and human organs. People with insulin-dependent diabetes usually inject themselves with pig insulin.

Kindness to animals

Every creature was created by Allah for a purpose. The Prophet always encouraged being kind to animals. Although we should not eat the meat of the pig, it doesn't mean that we should hate pigs. We should show them the same kindness as any other animal, and not abuse or torture them. Pigs score high on tests devised to determine animal intelligence; in other words, they are very smart. It used to be that Europe people believed that pork would taste better if the pigs were kept in a state of filth, but this is not the natural inclination of the pig. When left to their own devices, it is said that pigs do not like to soil their sleeping quarters. As for their tendency to wallow in mud, that is done mainly to keep cool.

some complaint

Hi,

It's been almost two weeks since the house TV went kaput. So no entertainment. But too much of no entertainment is driving me crazy especially at night time. Hence, the grumpy old fart mood is on. Since there is no TV, me and mommies had been ala Britney Spears in Crossroads you know ronda-ronda in car around Penang.

We've been doing this for almost 4-5 days! Haha see how bored are we at home? Well, it's a good family bonding time I would say. And no TV means more talking, history and secrets digging, more chatting and now I know more about my family members especially my grandparents etc due to my non stop interview session with mommies.

Ok, that's not what I want to talk about.

We went for dinner at Gurney Plaza few days ago and there was this one thing that really pisses me off. Like seriously pisses me off. I am not sure if any shopping complex have any sign that say no pets allowed in the mall. But living in Malaysia where you have all different races and religions you should be smart enough to work on your brain about some people's sensitivity. Well, I saw this man who were carrying his DOG! For real, DOG and letak the DOG on the restaurant's chair!

Like..hey monyet, are you like an idiot? Muslims are sensitive to dog and it's not hygienic to have pets in the restaurant ok si mangkuk ayun? Yes, we can touch dry dogs and can samak after that bla..bla..bla.. but goodness gracious! The dog is one heck of a hairy dog and I can't imagine how many strands of the dog's hair were flying that night. Uweekk!!

It's rather sad that some people are just way too ignorant to consider about others.

If the dog look like this, surely aku pengsan!

p/s: Same case with cats at restaurants too. Uweekk!

amazing + beautiful yet so panas week

Hi clouds,

Last week has been the most awesome week by far. My BFF Murni Kassim had her engagement kenduri and it was a fab one! She looked oh so amazing and GORGEOUS! I really love her makeup, her dress and everything else :) It was a beautiful day and a meaningful to all of us as this is the first time in this year that the five of us (BFF from high school) met up again. Everyone was happy and jovial for the special day.

On Sunday, I went to my good friend's kenduri in Teluk Kumbar. Beautiful indeed! I love engagement and wedding kenduri because everyone would be in kelam kabut state except the person yang diraikan because she would be so nervous yet so pretty! :) Both kenduri punya makan is A+. Aaah....craving for nasik kenduri terlepas finally.

Other than that, I had an interesting week. I finally went to CTY Aquarium to get Guppies for my Korean friend which 1 ended up in heaven before I managed to reach their house. I say blame the traffic jam and heat! :p

Speaking of heat, the weather has been C-R-A-Z-Y nowadays!! The heat is so torturing and ice cream has been the best buddy :) I hope the hot sensation weather will wear off soon.

So, here are some pics taken at Murni's engagement kenduri and some photo booth syok sendiri pics of mine getting ready to the kenduri. Have a fun week everyone!

ada apa dengan status?

Just because you are a Dato, it does not mean i must respect you all the time.

Just because you are a Tuan, it does not mean I need to looked at my loop shoes everytime I talk to you.

Just because you are a Haji, it does not mean I can trust all of your words.

And,

Just because you are somebody, it does not mean I would care much about you.

I am who I am. If you don't like it. . . ADA AKU KESAH??!
